EASY OVEN ROASTED POTATOES

Today I am going to share with you my recipe for delicious and super simple oven roasted potatoes! I have been making this dish for years and my whole family loves them.

This dish pairs great along side any type of protein (beef, chicken, fish...) and you can also make these potatoes for breakfast. If you used them for breakfast, they would go great in burritos or on the side with some eggs and bacon.

Supplies you will need!

Baking sheet

Aluminum foil (makes clean up a breeze)

Knife

Cutting board

Now for the hard to find ingredients!

Potatoes (I like using red's but any old potato will work)

Olive oil (I used extra light)

Garlic powder-a must!

Black pepper-a must as well!

Salt-( I used season salt with these potatoes)

Directions on how to make!

Set your oven to bake at 400 degrees.

Wash your potatoes and cut out any yuckies. ( I have been around my kiddos too much; yuckies!)

Now cut your potatoes in half and then dice them in to any size chunks you would like. The larger the pieces of potatoes, the longer they will take to cook.

Once you have cut all your potatoes, spread them out on a foil lined baking sheet. Lining the baking sheet with foil cuts the clean up process in half.

Now you want to drizzle your olive oil over most of your potatoes. If you don't know if they is enough you can always add more in the next step.

Sprinkle your seasoning over all your potatoes. I like using more pepper and garlic powder than salt. You do need salt though to round out the seasonings on them. Now use your hands and mix all the potatoes together until they are all coated with oil and seasoning. If they look like they need a little bit more oil then this is when you would add it.

Now spread them back out flat and pop them in the oven!

You can tell when they are done by the potatoes turning golden brown and fork tender.

My potatoes cooked for a good 30 in the oven at 400 degrees. Then for the last 10 minutes, I turned up the oven to 425 degrees for 10 minutes. That helps the potatoes get golden brown and delicious!

Then at the end you will have these beautiful babies!

So yummy! So delicious! And so easy!

While these were in the oven you have 30-40 minutes to prepare the rest of your meal and clean up your mess.

Remember you can always use the leftovers for breakfast!

Happy Cooking!
