I haven't posted a baking or cooking recipe in a while but, I have been cooking and baking up a storm! (That's one of the things I am going to work on this week : )
I've been mildly ub-sessed with these brownies lately, not only do I love brownies...but brownies with Snickers bars in them are ah-mazing!!! Something about putting candy in a brownie is just so right?! The way the Snickers bar melts into the batter is...ok, just go out and make some and you'll see what I'm talkin about!
I would be lying if I told you the whole recipe is from scratch. Sometimes you need a time saver, and this is mine! I've been using this box mix for years!!! It always turns out great, people ask me what my recipe is and I always say, "It's Duncan Hines, chewy fudge!" The key is though, NOT TO OVER MIX!!! As much as you may want to, DON'T! I promise they will come out glorious and no ones the wiser.
Now what I like to do is, use 2 box mixes and adding 6 chopped up snickers bars, yes SIX!
In the picture below, I also added in pretzels for the sweet/salty aspect.
I grease the pan well, then pour in half the batter, sprinkle your candy mixture and then top with the second part of the batter.
Then just bake according to your box instructions, which also has to do with what size pan your using.
Now you know my secret, it's out, I can't wait for you to try! I think my next mixture will be peanut butter cups, since the Mehaffey man and kiddos love them.
Have a Great Day!
