Hey all, Happy Monday!
So this past weekend has been the weekend of the traveling stomach bug!!! On Friday Maddie stayed home from school, Saturday I came down with it, early Sunday morning Bryce, Sunday Naomi and now Sunday night to Monday (today) Jarret!!! O-M-G...thankfully I only had it for 12 hours because you know, Moms can't get sick, and Bryce totally stepped up as big brother and care taker while I was down and out. It was no fun but at least the weather was yucky this weekend so I didn't feel bad about not being able to take the kids outside and play.
I also watched 4 movies on Saturday which usually never happens! They were all on t.v. this weekend: Zero Dark Thirty, Lone Survivor, 13 Hours and Daddy's Home. I can't remember the last time I've done that...oh and finished a book!
Here's my little weekend wrap-up. ☺
Friday turned out to be a beautiful day. The morning was cold, foggy and overcast but as the day went on the sun came out and the "golden-hour" was beautiful!
I took these pics on my phone as I was walking to check the mail.
The grass is starting to turn from burnt winter grass to green again, yay!
While I was standing by the barbed wire fence, this little guy came up to see what I was doing.
If it wasn't for Bryce letting me rest, watching the girls and taking care of me, I probably wouldn't of recovered so quickly!
He just has the sweetest, most empathetic and compassionate heart!
I'm not sure if part of it is from growing up with a sister in and out of the hospital for a good chunk of his life and or modeled behavior but empathy makes a person stand out in a crowd and Bryce has that in spades!!!
He also brought me a cut up banana and a grapefruit cup.
Bryce wrote me sweet notes, checked on me often and assured his Dad that he had this all under control and not to worry.
Sunday we had an unexpected snow that came in fast n' hard and then melted away!
The snow flakes were huge.
Jer was hurrying up so he could get inside and warm up.
The pictures aren't the best but, look at how big the snow flakes were!
