Yesterday I went to the grocery store to do my weekly shopping. I usually go to the grocery store on Tuesday or Thursdays, after I drop the kids off at school, then I have peace n' quiet and not every few seconds kids asking me for something! I can get in and out and back in time for preschool pickup.
Right when I was walking in the doors they had a flower arrangement display of tulips, mixed bouquets and roses. I stopped to look at them and decided to buy the set of tulips for myself because fresh flowers make me happy. The little bunch of tulips was under $5 and to put in in perspective, your Starbucks order is probably more than that!
We are slowly starting to come out of winter here in the Midwest and it's still cold, the leaves are still off the trees, my plants are slowly-slowly coming back to life and it's just nice to see something fresh & colorful. Since we've had a lot of grey this season.
I can't wait to start gardening and doing yard work again!
That stuff makes me happy.
We are in charge of our own happiness and since I can't garden outside, I will bring it inside!
The moral of the story is:
Do something small that makes you happy today!
Have a Great Weekend,
