Hi…I know it has been a while but I am determined this month to update our blog more frequently. I have been taking tons of pictures and videos though, so I WILL update what we have been up to.
In this post I am going to show you THREE NEW learning toys that we added to our homeschool collection.
First is the new Leapfrog Farm Mash-UP. I LOVE the Leapfrog toys and learning systems that they offer! My Tia Rocky got this for Madison as her Easter present…
One of the things that Madison is working on in school right now with her teacher is matching and associating things/objects. Her teacher and I know that she becomes very motivated when it comes to anything to do with animals, so I thought this would be great. And…she LOVES it!
Second is our new learning toy from Learning Resources, the Super Sorting Pie. I am always on the look out for new learning toys that the kids will like to play with BUT, it is also teaching them something at the same time. Those are some of the BEST toys, at least I think so! It’s helping Madison with her fine motor skills, identifying/differentiating colors as well as having to sort them. One of the other things is it comes with big tweezers that she is learning to have to squeeze to grab the fruit. Bryce is enjoying playing and helping her with this toy too.
Thirdly is something more for Bryce, but little sassy-pants is enjoying them just as well! Jarret and I were talking the other night and he said, “do you notice that ALL of the things that Bryce plays with on a daily basis has something to do with building…” As I started thinking about it, all the things ARE building related, wooden blocks, wooden shaped blocks, Trio Blocks, Legos etc., except for his beloved tractor. When he plays with his tractors though, he is still using his BLOCKS as hay bales etc.. He is the brains and the mastermind that can build his inventions. Soooo when Tia Rocky asked what to get Bryce for Easter, I thought this would be PERFECT and it’s from the Lake Shore Learning Store!
All theses toys/learning materials I recommend, especially when you can use them in multiple ways!
