I had to take Madison to a Dr.s’ appointment with her pulmonologist down at Rady’s in San Diego not to long ago and it is always a flood of emotions that I get when we are down there. From happy, sad, scared, nervous, lonely, grateful, heart-broken… When I take her, it is always humbling and amazing to see her thriving at where she is today and how she continues to progress everyday. She is running down the side walks, playing on the toys, sitting in the grass, and just plain happy to be outside walking around. When only two years ago she was in a hospital room up stairs of that building for four months. Those moments make “being STRONG” for her, worth it.
