December is flying by this year or shall I say this whole holiday season!!!
So I better get my butt in gear and post this delicious coffee recipe that I have been sitting on for a while.
This peppermint mocha is AH-MAZING!!! I can drink this coffee any time of the day. My white chocolate mocha recipe is just as good, but I think of that one as my special treat.
This is like my everyday treat for December, hahaha…
8 oz. of strong hot coffee
5-6 oz. of milk (any type of milk with work)
1/4 cup chocolate chips (good quality, it makes a difference)
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/8 – 1/2 tsp. peppermint extract, depending on how peppermintie you want it.
whipped cream (optional, but necessary!)
Start by brewing the coffee in your favorite Christmas mug.
Make sure that your mug has the capacity to hold 16 oz. of liquid first.
Note: while the coffee is brewing you can measure out your milk and chocolate chips to save on time.
Measure out your milk and start warming in sauce pan.
Measure out your chocolate chips and set aside.
Pour your chocolate chips into the warmed milk and start whisking.
This is the most important part, you want to whisk to melt the chocolate, but mind your heat because you don’t want to burn your milk.
Once your chocolate is melted and incorporated it should resemble this!
Now add in your vanilla extract and peppermint extract and stir to incorporate.
Now pour your chocolate milk mixture in with your coffee.
Now you can enjoy it like this.
You can enjoy it like THIS!!!
The whipped cream is sssoooo necessary!
I know you will love this recipe as much as I do.
