I love to cook for my family, BUT it is always nice to have someone else do the cooking for you. Like the SLOW-COOKER! I am really starting to love this thing…

I know that there are a lot of different recipes for Dr. Pepper pulled pork out in the world, but this one is my own. Not all my recipes are going to be easy dump everything in and your ready to go,I promise you THIS one is!


What you will need:

Pork Butt Roast (2 small or 1 med/lrg.)
2 Cans Dr.Pepper
Brown onion
El Pato Sauce
Brown Sugar
Minced Garlic

Optional: slow-cooker liners (it will make clean up a breeze)

1. Rough chop your whole onion into chunk size pieces.

2. Open up your can of El Pato Sauce.

3. Measure out 3/4 cup brown sugar.

4. Measure out 2 tablespoons minced garlic.

5. Open your cans of Dr. Pepper.

Easy Right?!

Place your pork butt in the slow-cooker and pour your Dr. Pepper over top.

Spread your minced garlic on top of the pork butt (I used a spatula to do so).

Pour your whole can of El Pato sauce over top.

Now dump your brown sugar over the top of your pork butt.

Lastly, dump the onions in.

Now put your lid on and set it on low for 9 hours.

After 9 glorious hours you get THIS!!!

You can get 2 forks and shred right in the juice or you can transfer your meat to a cutting board to shred.

The possibilities with this meat are endless!

Pulled pork sandwiches, nachos, roll it up in a corn tortilla with your favorite toppings…

We put our pulled pork on top of NACHOS!!! Who doesn’t love a nacho?
