March is almost here, and one of the things I think about is the Shamrock Shake from McDonald’s. I remember them being so good, but last year when I had one it tasted different! I think they must have changed the recipe but, never the less, I set out to make my own version of the shake and I like mine way better!
This is a tradition I started for St. Patrick’s Day and we love them!
Don’t you love starting traditions with your kids? It’s what they will remember when they get older.
What you will need:
4 Cups Vanilla Ice Cream
3/4 Cups Milk
1/4 Tsp. Peppermint
1/4 Tsp. Green Food Coloring
The recipe makes 3 medium sized glasses.
Start by putting everything into the blender. Ice cream, milk, peppermint extract, and green food coloring.
Turn your blender on and start mixing! Depending on the strength of your blender, you might need to add more milk.
Your end result should look like this gloriously-green, pepperminty milkshake! Yum…
I poured ours into these cute and fun old fashion milk jugs and put a cute straw in, you can buy the milk jugs at Michaels.
I hope you enjoy my version of the Shamrock Shake and let me know if you make one!
