Do you ever eat cookie dough raw…straight out of the bowl, it tastes so good???

Yeah, I am talking to you! We ALL do it…just admit it…

The only thing is, the dough for “cookies” has raw egg in it and this recipe I found doesn’t!!!

It feels like you shouldn’t be eating them…but you know they are safe, so you keep eating them and wonder how something can taste sssooooooo good!!!

Secondly, I brought the bars to a party on Sunday, and let’s just say the tray was empty, gone, clean. I guess I’ll take it as people liked them.

Ingredients you will need are:

For the Bars:

2 Cups All -Purpose Flour (My favorite, you can purchase at Walmart for $3.79. Excellent quality!!!)

3/4 Cup Brown Sugar

1 Stick Butter

1 Tsp. Vanilla Extract

1 Can Sweetened Condensed Milk

2 Cups Mini Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Ganache Topping:

1 Cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

1/4 Cup Heavy Cream

Start by mixing together your butter, brown sugar and vanilla extract on low/medium speed.

Mix until the brown sugar and butter are well incorporated.

Add your flour and sweetened condensed milk a little at a time on low speed until all your ingredients are incorporated.

Last but not least add your mini chocolate chips. Once all chips are mixed in, transfer filling to a foil lined 8×8 or 9×9 square pan.

You can line your pan with foil or parchment paper. Press your filling down into the pan as best as you can to create a flat surface.

Now cover with plastic wrap and place in the fridge for 3-5 hours or overnight.

After the bars are completely cool, you need to make the ganache.

Add 1 cup chocolate chips and 1/4 cup heavy cream to a microwave safe dish and cook in the mic. for 30 sec. intervals.

After each time you want to stir the chocolate and cream so you don’t burn the chocolate.

Once all the chocolate is melted, pour over the top of your bars and spread the chocolate mixture evenly.

Place back in the fridge for another 3 hours.

When the chocolate is all set you can lift the bars straight out of the pan and cut into bite size pieces.

These cookie dough bars are definitely a crowd pleaser!!!

AND…it wouldn’t be a food post if I didn’t thank my AMAZING quality control assistant, Madison!

Thank you for eating too much cookie dough, it passed her test!

You can tell those cheeks are filled with dough, but she is acting like, what I don’t have anything!?!?

Thanks for stoppin by and have a GREAT Tuesday!
