In honor of today being the first day of fall, I am sharing with you our fall front porch decor! This fall is so exciting for us because we are actually in an area of the country were we experience a “true-fall”. We also have a front porch to boot so that means…front porch decorating!!!
So if you saw my post on Fall Front Porch Decor Ideas you know I searched Pinterest up and down for cute inspiring ideas for decorating, like any human being does these days. From each idea I pinned I took a little this-a little that and came up with this!
I L-O-V-E the way it came out, not to bad for my first time…lol!
Let’s start the supplies list with the straw bales, my brother picked those up in front of our local grocery store.
The Mums were purchased at our local Amish county auction. Yes you heard me right…we had to bid on them at an Amish auction. Well my girlfriends husband did because we didn’t know how much to offer, and I had never been to anything like it before. Ha!
You couldn’t just buy one either, you had to buy at least six. So I purchased 6 and Abby purchased 6 and we came home with a whole buncha Mums.
Most of the Mums I’ve seen in the stores are not to full or still have all the buds, they’re not blooming yet. These are so dense and pretty!
Ty’s girlfriend, Mahalia picked up this cute scarecrow at Walmart, so cute! I placed him in the rocking chair so he can be relaxin, enjoying the days…
All the signs are from Michael’s and I got them when all the fall decor was 50% off, oh-yeah, love a deal!
What I love about this sign is it’s not flashy, it’s natural, sorta country-rustic and super cute.
The corn stalks have their own story too, my girlfriend Abby and her husband went and cut a whole bunch of corn stalks down from a field (with permission 😉 so we can bunch them together and decorate with them for FREE.
We bunched them together in piles then tied them together with twine that actually matched the color of the dried stalks.
This is how I decorated a little table on the other side of the porch. The pumpkin and gourds are from Walmart in the veggie department. The floral embellishment is from Walmart and the Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice is from Michael’s.
The lantern I’ve had for years, it was actually a birthday present!
I love everything about that sign!
Oh…and I love everything about this cute five year old!!!
