Today I am knee deep in Thanksgiving Prep!
This will be my first Thanksgiving where I am solely preparing the food. I am not as prepared as I would like but I am just going to roll with it! When I was planning my menu and grocery list, I did take a few short cuts to make my life a little easier…
For starters I picked up an already made pie from Sam’s Club. It’s actually pretty cool, it’s called a pie sampler. It’s a quarter peach, quarter cherry, quarter apple and a quarter blueberry…it will satisfy everyone. I also picked up boxed stuffing (eeeeeekkkkkkkkkkk), I usually make my stuffing from scratch by drying loaves of bread etc., but this years calls for easy and I know it will be good still. Oh and I decided to forgo a honey baked ham…I know, I know!
In other news I picked up a turkey from school yesterday and I was completely surprised!!!!!!!!
I had no idea they were making these adorable little turkey costumes! When I walked into the cafeteria to pick up Bryce and Madison, all I saw was a little table full of turkeys waiting for their parents.
Madison was so proud of her costume, she kept pointing out that she cut the eyeballs and the feathers. She wore it all afternoon and loved gobbling at me!
I don’t know about you, but I have to say that that is the cutest little turkey if I ever did see!!!
I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving and a cozy evening spent with family!!!
