During the weeknights I like to make recipes I know my kids will eat!

Recipes that are effortless, home-cooked and comforting to them. Cooking for my kids is another way I share my love for them. I always want them to remember getting home from school and having something good to eat or Bryce coming into the house or Maddie coming down stairs saying, “hhhhmmmm what are you cooking, it smells so good in here!??!” or Naomi saying, “I love your food Mom!” 🙂

One thing you might have realized over the years is my kids love anything to do with pasta or Mexican food! So those are the types of recipes that are usually in my wheel house during the week and maybe a meat and potato too (some where, lol) You would of noticed that recently from my post about my “Weeknight Meal Planning“! 

But let’s be honest, us Moms need to make that mark with a quick pull together meal, in between homework, practices, laundry, going through the thousand papers the teachers send home…

My Turkey Pepperoni Pasta is the perfect weeknight meal for busy parents, kid approved forsure!


1 pound of Lean Ground Turkey

1 6 oz. pack of pepperoni, 

1 Jar of your favorite marinara sauce

1 Box of your favorite pasta shape

2 Tbsp. of Olive Oil

1 Tbsp. of Minced Garlic

Parmesan Cheese shreds for garnish, not the green can, the real deal! 🙂

Start by heating your pot of water and waiting for it to come to a boil for your pasta. When it comes to a boil add a good amount of salt, important step, that’s when the pasta is flavored!

While the water is coming to boil get one of your big pans heating, once hot add your ground turkey, minced garlic and season with a little salt & pepper. Mince with spoon until it forms crumbles and turns white.

While turkey is cooking you can chop up your pack of pepperoni into bite size pieces, whatever size you look works too!

Now to the same skillet, add your marinara and pepperoni and cover with a lid. Let it simmer for about 15 minutes. 

By now your water should of came to a boil, you salted the water and the pasta is cooking away. When pasta is done & drained add the pasta directly to the skillet. Now add a good helping of parmesan cheese to the top of the cooked pasta, before you mix it all together!

Once mixed, it should resemble this…

This is when you can choose to add more parmesan cheese, my kids love parm., or you could let it come to room temp & place it in a container and place in fridge for later, or you could transfer all ingredients to a foil pan topped with aluminum foil and freeze!


When you are ready to serve…

Add parm or no parm but, more parm the better in my book!


This would pair perfect with a toasted slice of french bread or a side salad, yum…

    I love slow cookers, but even more I LOVE Pressure Cookers! Probably because I have no patience what so ever lolll. Great recipe! 🙂
