Happy Friday folks, Thanksgiving is a little under a week away!!!

I hope you all are getting your grocery shopping done early so you don’t have to fight the crowds. I’m going grocery shopping today! This year my part is the honey baked ham, stuffing (this is the recipe I’m using), green bean casserole, pumpkin pie and pecan pie cookies (here’s the recipe I’m using).

I am so excited for Thanksgiving this year!

On the home front I am almost done painting. I ran out of paint to finish the laundry room/mud room but, I am completely done with the kitchen, yay! Now all I have to do is hang some things and my Mom is sewing some curtains for the laundry room.

Personally I am feeling much better on the whole food poisoning front, today marks a week and yesterday was the first day that I was actually able to eat and not get some sort of sick. But I’m being careful what I’m eating too.

Alright, now for a little life lately…

The weather here has been so nice and I know this weekend it is all about the change!

Saturday night the low is 28 degrees!!!

Yeah and next week I think the high is somewhere in the 50’s… 🙁

Maddie had her well visit this week and she has grown 4 inches since January and has gained 5 lbs!

Woot-woot, go Maddie!!!!

It was bound to happen, broken water line.

Eventually we were going to run into one not knowing exactly which way the lines run and Tuesday night we had to do a quick capping of the line.

Good thing we have handymen.

Yesterday I spent most of the morning painting and stopped after lunch for a sunshine walk.

Years ago I use to help do payroll at a little cheese factory in California and one of the cheese makers would come out from the back and tell the people in the front that she was going outside for a sun shine walk and would be back in 20 minutes.

So now I catch myself saying, ‘I need to go for a little sunshine walk’!

Vitamin D does something good for my mental health.

I had a partner accompany me on my sunshine walk to the mailbox.

I’m sure those calves are enjoying their sunshine time too.

Sadie’s enjoying it!

The boys were helping me with a little d.i.y. project.

Chicken wire on an old frame!

This is going in my kitchen to hang art work from the kids, pictures and holiday cards!

Julian is here from California, Ty and Ju-Ju have been friends since middle school or even younger.

Maddie got off the bus and the horses came running to see her, she is a little animal whisperer.

Maddie’s class made little paper Indian costumes and Naomi wanted her picture taken in it too!

Maddie wasn’t at school the day they made them so her little friend Peyton made one for her so she wouldn’t be left out of the class project.

So sweet how Maddie’s little friends look out for her, she has a great little pack!

That’s life lately and I’ll see you Monday with MY kid’s gift guide. So that means the type of stuff I’ll be getting my kiddos because it is just way too broad of a category to cover, so I’ll just share my kid’s gift ideas!

Talk to ya soon and have a great weekend,
