Hey all, Happy Friday!

Today it’s all about my Morning Routine. Yes you read that right, morning routine, ha! Every morning I do these few things and it makes me feel accomplished, like I have the day going on the right track. I’m a person that loves routines and fines comfort in them. Although it is nothing profound, it’s more of a mind thing and it’s my little bit of quiet time. 

Here, let me share what I do and this is all based on a typical day, which is pretty often.

For starters I usually wake up around 4:45 a.m., I should preface this with the fact that I’m a morning person! So if you’re not a morning person, maybe you could have an evening routine?

I always start my morning by getting a cup of coffee from a pot that is already made by my husband. Jer goes out to work a little earlier than I wake up, so he makes it when he’s getting ready and takes his cup out with him. 

Sidenote: When the pot of coffee is not made before I’m awake, it throws my whole routine off! Not really, but it does make me feel like, aaahhh the coffee isn’t made, greeaattt!!! 

Now if I’m posting a blog that morning, this is when I would be typing away. I’ve honestly tried writing a blog at night or during the day and I don’t have the same juices going. It’s a routine thing, I will upload pictures in the evening though…

Next I get a load of laundry going, but I set it on a timer to start in 3 hours! Now I’m sure you’re wondering, why 3 hours? Well the milk barn is still going on at this time of the morning and by the time the barn needs to do wash up, it takes away from their water pressure. So I wait till there done, but I like to get it started on a timer so then it starts when I’m usually at the gym! 

Next if there’s a load of laundry to fold, I’ll usually re-warm it and fold it on top of the washer.

Also if there’s a load of clean dishes in the dishwasher, this is when I’ll put them away. Now the dishwasher is open and ready for dirty dishes from breakfast and the rest of the day! 

Right around here it should be 6:00-6:15 a.m., this is when I go take a shower. My kids usually start waking up around 6:30 starting with Bryce, then Maddie, then Naomi! After I’m showered, dressed and skincare put on, I start making breakfast for the kids and they are watching morning cartoons. 

Now I make myself a bowl of oatmeal, or toast & yogurt, or scrambles eggs with avocado toast, YUM!

(That is my typical weekday breakfast)

Last but not least, I write in my planner. This is where I go over any appointments I have for that week, to-dos I would like to accomplish that week and reminders of things that are important and need to get done, no matter what. If I write it down, then I don’t need to try and remember it over and over! 

Now sometimes I may run out of time to write in my planner, so I will do it after coming home from dropping the kids off or after the gym. Either way I like to write it there everyday!

That is my morning routine, it gets my day off to a great start and away I go.
