Hey y’all!

Last week was Naomi’s 2 Year “Gotcha-Day” Anniversary!!!

(Gotcha is an adoption term for the day she came to us)

Can you believe it? It doesn’t feel like she’s been with us for only two years or already two years.

Naomi was 3½ years old when she came to be apart of our family and now she is 5½ and will be starting kindergarten in the fall!

We have been thru a lot together, lots of ups, lots of downs, many memories made together as a family and many more to make as the months turn into years.

In these last few months Naomi has really came into her own and absolutely loves playing with Maddie. She has turned into a great little sister and helps me out a lot with Maddie. I can ask Naomi to help Maddie with a task or she has learned over time to assist Maddie when she knows she may need help with something.

Growing up with a special needs sibling teaches you compassion and patience, something both Naomi & Bryce have learned.

Some of the things Naomi loves:

Food, she absolutely loves her meals and snacks!

Playing with Maddie!

Arguing with Bryce, lol!

Playing in the Sandbox!

Riding bikes or scooters!

Going for family walks!

I know that Naomi is going to do great things in this world and if I would have to guess, it would probably be something in the public service category: teacher, police office, nurse, etc. (all things she has mentioned wanting to do) and she is one determined little girl.

I hope you enjoyed my small compilation of photos over the past two years. GOD knows I have waaayyy more but these are sort of the highlight reel.

Have a great day and thanks for reading,

Naomi has changed so much in 2 1/2 yrs. The Mehaffeys have been the best thing that has happened in her life!
