Today Naomi turns 6 years old! Since her birthday fell on a Monday and the kids are in school and Jarret is back at work, we celebrated Saturday afternoon. We started the day off by me taking Naomi to her soccer game & pictures, then we went straight to Bryce’s football game and met up with Jarret & Maddie. (When we have games at the same time or Bryce has to be to the field during Naomi’s game, Jarret always takes Bryce…it’s a father-son thing.)
Also at school today, it’s her “snack-day”, so we brought in snacks for all the kids and Capri-Suns, you know how much kids love to bring in treats for their class or team!
Naomi started kindergarten this year and we’ve been off to a bumpy-start with learning the ropes of behavior at school. But one thing I will say those, any behavior type problems we are having at school doesn’t deter her from wanting to go to school. She loves, loves, LOVES going to school and learning!!! Naomi loves doing her homework and is excited if she gets homework (I know this part won’t last forever) and going to any of the extra subjects like science, library, p.e. etc.
Here’s a little throwback picture from Naomi’s 4th birthday!
Here’s Naomi’s 5th birthday!
And this is 6!
If you are wondering why all the boxes and not wrapped gifts…, it’s because all of our family lives in other states and most, if not all their present come from Amazon. Hello, Amazon Prime!
Traditionally what we do is, we keep the boxes closed because we know they are for them and they get to open the boxes etc. It’s out little thing and that’s all that matters!
Naomi got some great gifts and even more that have come in the mail to open after school.
Traditionally I always make her a Funfetti box cake, she likes vanilla cake and she loves the sprinkles. It came out really good!
Thank you to all the family that sent her presents! (Some of the presents aren’t pictured.)
If this is the first time you’ve come to my site in a little while then things may look a little different, huh…
I’m changing things up around her and it comes with a little learning curve because switching from blogger to WordPress is so different. I’ve also been working behind the scenes to get things organized, simplified and streamlined so believe me, I’ve been all over this blog the past week.
Have a great day!
