Happy New Year 2019, today is the second day of the new year!!! Did you all stay up until midnight? I think you probably know the answer for me…no I didn’t, haha! I want to start the new year rested and refreshed, not all tired & grumpy.
Now that 2019 is here, this is going to be one of our best years yet, I can feel it! A blank slate with endless possibilities…
2018 your chapter is closed, although I can pin point exact things that I am grateful for from this past year, I can also pin point a ton of not so great things that I’m ready to leave in the past. It’s not that I want to forget, it will always be apart of our story but, it is time to move on, to keep moving forward and it’s onward and upward!
In other news…
My Mom SURPRISED us and flew✈ in over the weekend!!! We had no idea, except Jarret knew and it was my Dad’s idea so, thank you Dad!
We were very surprised, we are loving having Grandma here and it was much needed.
All 3 kids are getting to spend lots of special time with Grandma and it will be nice to spend 1 on 1 time with her when the kids go back to school tomorrow. 🏫
We have plans!
This time of year is such a weird time for weather. The weather is starting to be gray & cold and we have to stay indoors most of the time.
On Sunday we took the kids to Target to spend their gift cards they got for Christmas. Maddie spent her’s on a Scruff-a-Luvs Pet and…
Naomi bought playdoh and a magna-doodle which is perfect for her. We need lots of things to keep her hands busy!💚
Bryce bought himself a new DVD and a Fortnite action figure.
Since my Mom is in town, she volunteered to watch the girls while Jarret, Bryce and I went for a long walk on a trail that I’ve been wanting to try.
Bryce brought his new scooter that Santa gave him and his backpack was filled with two r.c. cars just in case him and his Dad wanted to drive the cars on the trail.😍
This trail is 100% paved so it’s perfect for bikes or scooters and walking, hopefully the weather evens out enough that I can take my Mom on it!
Father-Son photo op!
Jarret and I don’t have many pictures of just us two so, I asked Bryce to snap a few for me.
This year, Jarret and I have a few big goals that we want to accomplish this year and with anything good comes sacrifice. But if there is one things that we know, we know hard work and we are not afraid of having to be uncomfortable to get there. I know as long as we work together, we can accomplish anything!
**My wish for all of you is to try and be better versions of who you were last year, level-up, we all have areas where we can improve on. My wish for you also is to find peace with the hard things in your life and that you have the strength to keep moving forward.
