Winter break is over, all the kids are back in school, Grandma flew out yesterday evening and now it’s time to get back on schedule…waa-waa.
I feel like this winter break went by so fast and I’m sure it has to do with my Mom being here and lending a helping hand! The kids enjoyed Grandma being here just as much as I did and we laid down a lot of miles over this past week with our long walks. Not to mention, the weather has been unseasonable warm!!!
Now it’s back to me washing the dishes I guess because my Mom kept the dishes up while she was here and I didn’t mind one bit!😊
Part of the kids’ winter break was cold, rainy and gray, so those days called for the indoor pool.
Naomi is finally a strong enough swimmer to go down the big slide! She is so happy that she gets to go down the “big slide” like Bryce & Maddie.

On one of the days Maddie was sick so she didn’t go swimming. She hung out with my Mom and they kept busy by practicing bouncing the ball, catching the ball, walking a few laps around the indoor track and watching videos on YouTube. It was exactly what Maddie needed!
One morning the kids were doing mindful yoga. This was recommended by Naomi’s therapist that she starts to practice this a few times a week and Maddie likes to join in as well.
This is the YouTube channel that I like, it’s called Cosmic Kids, her voice is very calming and she has tons of videos to pick from.
Bryce’s big Christmas present was a trampoline and on Christmas day Jarret & Bryce tried putting it together only to find out it was missing major pieces…
We had to send it back (thanks to free returns) and wait for the replacement to arrive, and this past Saturday Jarret & Bryce put it together. The weather was perfect, I think it got up to 68°F and everyone was loving it!
The dynamic duo!
The kids couldn’t wait to get on the trampoline, Jarret & my Mom were putting on the finishing touches.
Last morning of school drop-off with Grandma!
With the weather being so amazing Saturday & Sunday and Jarret being home from work, My Mom and I were able to lay down some serious miles!
I think my Mom said we walked around 18 miles, not all on Saturday & Sunday, because some days we had to walk on the indoor track due to weather but we walked a lot.
Here are some picture I snapped on our walk over the past few days!
This is one of my favorite pictures I took while on our Sunday morning walk. This is such a quintessential Ozarks picture, (on the Missouri side).
