Heyah Friends, How are you all doing!?! Last week we had our first snow day of the year which meant no school, it was accompanied by the #polarvortex2019 artic blast the Midwest got. Let me tell ya, it was cold! We didn’t get it nearly as bad as the northern midwest did will wind chill dropping all the way to -50°F…that is just crazy cold!
All morning the kids were dying to go outside and play in the snow because this was our first real snowfall of the season. We waited till about 11:30 and I bundled them all up in the appropriate clothing with layers, insulated overalls, gloves, beanies, and boots.
After I worked myself up into a sweat trying the get them clothed properly, then it was Mom’s turn to bundle up. Can any Moms relate to the struggle of getting kids ready for the snow…!?!!!!
I just snapped a whole bunch of random pictures because my hands were freezing!
Bryce loves his trampoline and it made the perfect base for a snow angel!
Naomi was scooping snow to make a pile.
Bryce was jumping around on the snowy trampoline and he brought his r.c. tractors out to school and haul snow. This so reminded me of when he was little.
Maddie wanted to ride her scooter and…
was playing pretending she was making food!
A boy and his trucks…
Naomi wanted to see what it was like to ride a bike in the snow…
and she found out pretty quick that it is slippery!
Bryce helped Maddie built a little snowman named Olaf!
He lasted for two days!
Naomi jumped into the back of the truck to scoop all the fresh snow that was piled up in there and when I asked her to smile for the camera, this was the pose she did!
Not too much snow but Bryce, Maddie, Naomi, and all the neighbor kids were taking turns sledding down the little embankment.
