Celebrating & Family Update

Hi Friends, Happy Tuesday!

Over the past few weeks, we celebrated our 13-year wedding anniversary and my 33rd birthday!!!

Because Jarret was at work on our anniversary he surprised me with a bouquet of flowers that were delivered.

They were so pretty and the house smelled amazing!!!

Here we are, all piled into “Goldie”(Jarret’s commuter car) on our way to church Sunday morning.

Teaching our kids life skills.

This year has been the year of Bryce learning more about basic mechanics.

Like changing oil and filters, your basic car servicing.

He used to hand his Dad tools and watch. Now he is doing all the work while Jarret supervises.

This is how kids learn life skills.

Exploring the Nature Center.

The cool thing about nature is that you can walk the same trail every day and see something different all throughout the year.

The kids are like Mom…we are going to the Nature Center again!?!

But once we get going, they love it!

Bryce is getting so tall!

Maddie says she’s like a mountain goat and Naomi says she’s the little sister mountain goat!

After our 3 mile walk, we went inside the nature center to see more of what they had to offer.

Can you believe that this was our first time going in!?! Usually, we just walk & leave…

Outdoor pool fun!

Now that the weather is nice and warm & humid, we can frequent the outdoor pool!

The girls brought croissants to snack on poolside. #divas

The kids are loving it…

But Maddie burns out WAY faster than Bryce & Naomi ever will. They will always be the last ones in the pool!

So she was just having some quiet special time with Mommy.

And f.y.i, this is what I use after we go to the pool to dry our towels and bathing suits. It works amazing!

We see the eye doctor A LOT!

A few weeks ago we went for Naomi’s 6-month eye check-up and no change in prescription, which is good.

We use to go every 3 months to make sure she’s in the right prescription because her left eye has super strong lense.

Everything is looking good but we have to make sure that she always has her lenses on except when showering, swimming or sleeping.

Cute summer hair

Maddie got a big haircut!

Her hair was so long and in the summer it gets hard to manage with the humidity and the heat.

Yep, I cut her hair, my hair skills have come along way.

Cute and fun for summer!

Mixing up the workout routine.

The biggest difference in my workout routine is adding the rowing machine and…

…yoga!

I’m loving the rowing machine right now because I get bored pretty quick with indoor workouts, so it’s good for me to mix it up.

I’m not naturally that flexible so it’s good for me to add yoga for the stretching and the mindfulness.

Also, the kids are right smack dab in the middle of their summer school schedule and then we are on vacation, woo-hoo!!!

Okay, friends & family, that’s my family update and I’ll talk to ya soon, Bye!
