Hi there! So, this is the last installment of my road trip series… I know I know, I’ve been enjoying it too but this is my last one. I do have two packing posts I’m planning on this week though!
When I was going thru my pictures for my last blog post, I noticed I had a lot of random picture from when we were in Utah that never got shared.
So here we go, just a bunch of randomness, haha😉
Let me just say that the sun in Utah is so strong!!! Hence the hats to keep the sun off our faces.
I took this picture while we were in my Mom’s garden.
She planted a beautiful garden that the girls would help her with.
My Mom gave them little jobs and the girls loved it!
Most mornings we went for a 3+ mile walk on a loop around town with my Mom, Monica (family-friend) and Me!
Usually, my Mom & Monica walk 5 miles every weekday when they are both in town! That’s inspiring!!!🚶♀️🚶♀️
It was one of the highlights of my trip when I was in Utah, I love getting outside early in the morning and walking!!!
In town, people’s cherries trees were ripe and ready for the picking.
A day or two before I arrived my Mom & Monica picked a whole bunch of cherries from a friends tree. And I had the great honor of pitting hundreds of cherries for my Mom, lol until she took over because my wrist & hand were cramped. 😃
Speaking of Monica, her neighbor had baby goats that the girls wanted to see…
They were so cute!
And Bryce played with their new pup, Levi!
Also while we were in Utah, the girls got their first gel-manicure from my brother’s girlfriend.
Here’s Maddie’s and…
this was Naomi’s!
One thing I never shared was that my Mom entered a drawing when we were at the 4th of July parade and she won!
She won a Traeger Grill!!! That’s like the Cadillac of smokers!!!
We hurried up and put that thing together and the next day we smoked a pork-butt.
It turned out so good and the pulled pork sandwiches the next day were the best
A few days later when Jarret was there we smoked ribs and they were the best!
I can’t wait to get a smoker of our own…🍗🥩🍖
Last but not least, Maverick’s…it’s a huge gas station in my parent’s town that the kids look forward to every year. About once every other day I would take them in the afternoon to get an icee. It’s not something we do very often at home, but it’s like a vacation treat they look forward to when we visit my parents.
And the funny thing is, when you talk about visiting or going to Utah, they always mention Maverick’s.
It’s the little things that they remember the most!💙
